Its superb 3 mile long beach of golden sand has been rated as one of the finest beaches in the country. Perranporth is a popular venue for surfing and surfboards, wetsuits and accessories are available for hire from the beach and town. The Watering Hole, a popular
eating place situated right on the beach, provides a wonderful setting overlooking
the bay from which to enjoy a meal or a relaxing drink. There are also many
other restaurants and cafes in the town.
The coastal path leading to the charming old mining village of St Agnes (3 miles) offers spectacular views over the North Atlantic and as well as bracing sea air. The Perranporth Airfield offers flying tuition, self-fly hire and, in the summer season, scenic trips for holiday makers.
The park and gardens in Perranporth include a boating lake, hard and grass tennis courts and a bowling green where visitors are always welcome. There are also riding stables close by which cater for both the novice and the more experienced rider.
